Daniel Melchor, is a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) for our Family Group at Rise Recovery. He was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Daniel has been working in substance use disorder field for over 30 years and is very passionate about serving others who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Being in long term recovery since 1989, he is a member of a 12-step fellowship and is dedicated to helping others.

Being addicted to substances at a young age Daniel was unaware of places that Rise Recovery existed. He stated, “If I had only known that place like Rise Recovery existed I may have gotten help sooner, but I am so grateful for allowing God to direct me to a residential treatment center that put me on my road to recovery.” Now being a part of the Rise Recovery family, he is determined to helping family members in the recovery community towards making healthier lifestyle changes in recovery.

When not at work, he enjoys being outside in nature, golfing and fishing, and spending time with his family, friends in recovery, listening to music and attending recovery meetings.
