Our peer counselors provide case management services and follow-up for those participants that under 35 and that have been referred by the legal system, CPS or employers as a result of their substance use.
Starting on January 1, 2018 we will have the following changes:
To be enrolled you must attend orientation. We have a one-hour orientation at our Woodhull and Ironside locations on Tuesday at 3:00 pm or Thursday at 1:00 pm.
Our stipulated program consists of 4 group meetings, 4 education classes (the whole series), 2 social activities, and 2-4 individual sessions (at the peer counselor’s discretion)
Please see our calendar for group meeting and education class times.
Social activities will be coffee after the meeting on Monday, or Tuesday or one hour of service work per social at one of our facilities. Please call ahead to set up a time to do service work.
Appointments for individual sessions must be set up in advance with your peer counselor by a phone call to the office during hours of operation. Your peer counselor will be assigned to you during orientation. The individual must set up the appointment, not someone else. This helps us to protect your confidentiality.
We have a requested $70 donation which helps us to offset the costs of running the program including groups, one-on-one sessions, case management and reporting to yours officers or case managers. There is a $10 fee to replace the signatures on lost attendance forms.
