A High School for Students Seeking Sustained Recovery from Drugs and Alcohol

Recovery high schools are considered one of the most impactful and effective ways to support youth in drug and alcohol recovery. We combine innovative learning methods with a strong peer culture in which all students identify as being active in their recovery and committed to supporting their fellow students as they face challenges associated with early recovery.

Rise Inspire Academy Inquiry Approach

  • Become: Embody what’s worth learning.
  • Know: Investigate what’s worth learning.
  • Do: Connect what’s worth learning.

Six Components of Inquiry

  1. Activate Knowledge: Eliciting from students what they already know and building initial knowledge they need to know.
  2. Identify Questions: Guide students to formulate and articulate key questions connected to the objective to explore more deeply.
  3. Explore: Support students to understanding the significance, relevance, and urgency of the topic.
  4. Create: Students plan design, and execute a demonstration of learning that is connected to the objective.
  5. Share: Students share their work, process, and experience and connect it back to the original objective.
  6. Reflect: Debrief with students about their entire learning process from idea to product as well as their thoughts and feelings.

Pillars of Recovery Curriculum

  • Health and Wellness
  • Self-Awareness and Purpose

Our Vision

Our Values

All interactions with students, their parents, our staff, and the broader community will be guided by the values of community, outstanding service, relationship, empowerment, belonging, finding joy and being great.

I am a parent of a teenager that has struggled with substance use disorder. At Rise Inspire Academy, my daughter is able to focus on her academics while receiving care to sustain her sobriety. As a parent, I also receive support through Rise Recovery at no cost. Rise has helped me continue to navigate a healthy path for myself and my family.
