Valarie McDonald (Koch) is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for Rise Recovery. She is a San Antonio transplant but was born and raised in Texas. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently attending Texas

A&M San Antonio for her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Valarie is also in long-term recovery and passionate about helping others find their way out of addiction to live more fulfilling lives.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, traveling with her husband and kids, cleaning, and cuddling her four dogs.
