Joanna Pierce, Grant Writer and Staff Attorney, has a BA in Fine Arts and a JD in Law from St. Mary’s Law School and is an attorney, licensed in the State of Texas since 2008. Joanna has over 12 years of legal experience in areas including oil and gas, family law, contracts and real property matters. After volunteering for several years at Haven for Hope of Bexar County, Joanna took on a full-time position as a contracts’ coordinator. She also served as legal counsel, grant writer, grant compliance and liaison to the City of San Antonio, Bexar County and the State of Texas for Haven’s funding agreements. Joanna served on the board of the Pride Center in San Antonio and continues to be a friend of the Pride Center.

In her personal life, Joanna likes to travel, has a decades-long yoga practice, and spends the rest of her time with her basset hound, Leroy.
